Lets face it, the [traditional] music industry is f*cked! For too many years, theyve raped musicians, while screwing music consumers out of every last penny they could! I mean, $18 for a CD that cost 5 cents to make? Cmon!! WTF?!?! While the iTunes music store proven that digital music downloads could be turned into a viable business, even Apple is threatening that any change to the business model could force them to shut down the iTunes music store. The reality is, the traditional music industry just doesnt work anymore. We need new solutions, and a new business model. We need a solution that fights global poverty by helping musicians to earn a living from their music, whether they live in Nashville, or Nambia. We call that solution Social Entrepreneurship Applied to the Music Business.
